Homeward Pets

If you adopted one of these kittens, please post an update on how they are doing in the comments section of one of the blog entries. We are fostering out kittens from Homeward Pets.

Waiting, waiting

We found out that the second of the Greystone Trio, Lep/ Leo was adopted this past week. We're so glad he's found his Forever Home. If his adoptive family reads this, please post and tell us something about yourselves.

We're still waiting to hear that Rusty, the third kitten of the brother bunch, has been adopted. By now, he's been at the shelter for two whole weeks. So sad. They've told us that, for whatever reason, kitten adoptions are just not happening as quickly as they usually do. In the past, all these cute kittens would end up being in the shelter for only a day or two after returning from foster care and having their surgeries. Now it is days and even weeks.

We hope the two fluffy kittens we've been fostering for two weeks will get adopted quickly! Lindy and Mitsy are beauties. Kitten-food-commercial cute!

  1. Hi!
My name is Hope, and on Saturday I lost my kitty, Sugar, to cancer. But the same day(yesterday), I adopted two adorable kittens, Lindy(now Lola) and Mitsy. We love the name Mitsy, but changed the spelling to Mitzi. As Im writing this Lola is cuddled up next to my arm, and I can hear Mitzi playing. They are the cutest, most lovable, kitties ever! Whave a nice big house they can play in and a freindly dog that we are hoping they will warm up too. (He's a little obnouxious, but only because he REALLY wants to be friends!) I live here with my mom and dad (Im only 12) and so things could get lonely if we didnt have pets. We have everything a cat could need, including a cat tree, plenty of toys, and a loving family. My mom is home all day, for the most part, and I will be going into Jr. High this year, but will be sure to find plenty of time to play with them. If you want, my mom could send pictures too, but I can't because my mom only has them on her computer. They are the sweetest cats ever, and you must have done a great job loving them because they are super freindly! We can keep in touch if you want. My email is stitch610@yahoo.com, and my moms is arlangkow@yahoo.com. Oh, and I saw Rusty at the shelter, and he was doing well. He is adorable, and I hope just as much as you that he will get adopted. I wanted every cat that was in there, but what can you do? I think it is great that you are foster caring for cats, and keep up the good work!

  2. Hi Hope!
We are so very happy for both you and the Fluffy Sisters! They are very sweet little girls. I think they were in the shelter in Ellensburg for a while before they came to Homeward Pets. When we got them for fostering, they were OK with being petted in the crate we kept them in (until they got used to the bigger room) but did NOT like being picked up. I have scratches all over my arms to prove it!
I hope they will get used to your dog. We have a big dog and they got used to being around her, but not to the point of really warming up to her. Give them time. :-)
I hope you can look at the video we put together. You'll see how much their foster-mama-cat loved. She really, really misses them. But, we'll tell our cat that "her" baby-cats are in a wonderful home now.
Enjoy the kittens and send us pictures when you can.
