Today, July 29th we gave back Leo (aka Lep), Dub, and Rusty to be made ready for adoption. They had their surgeries midday today and will be up for adoption tomorrow (Friday). Homeward Pets is having a pet-adoption-awareness even at a local pet store chain and while they won't bring kittens to the event, it does bring more people into the Homeward Pets adoption center. So, the Greyscale Trio will most likely be adopted by the end of the weekend.
Farewell Leo/Lep, Dub, and Rusty! We wish you well in your Forever Homes.

Hi Dub’s foster family!
ReplyDeleteWe picked up Dub yesterday (July 30th) at Homeward Pets. It was love at first sight! He has the most beautiful eyes. And of course, when we picked him up and he started purring right away, that warmed our hearts. We’re a family with an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old, both of whom adore Dub and whom he’s very affectionate with. We have two other cats who are 2 years old, and we’re keeping them separate for the first three days, getting them used to each others’ smells. We can’t wait to integrate the whole family.
For now, Dub’s got the run of the master bedroom and bathroom. We’ve been spending a lot of time up there with him, and letting him have the run of the house a couple times a day too. Dub’s been the most adaptable kitten we’ve ever had—never scared or hiding, very curious. He even tried to follow his mom (me) into the shower, and was upset that he couldn’t get attention from me without getting wet. He decided to stay at the shower door, yowling every once in a while to let me know I should get out soon and play with him. He purrs every time we pick him up or pet him, and even when he sees us come in the door. Last night, he cuddled with us on the couch while we watched TV and slept with us on our bed, and didn’t make a peep all night, except to have a brief play session with my hand.
The whole family’s become attached to him very quickly—not surprising, since he’s completely loveable. Thank you for taking such good care of him and training him so well—he’s well-mannered, social, easy-going, and friendly. We love his cuddles and his personality, and are so happy to be his Forever Home!
Thank you for giving us and update about Dub. He is a sweet little guy! It warms our hearts to hear he has such a loving Forever Home.
ReplyDeleteIf you think of it, let us know how he does over time - with his adoptive kitty siblings and growing into adulthood. We'd love to see pictures.
Enjoy!
